For Australian leavers
Moving to Dubai from Australia? Done properly.
Relocate, expand your business into the UAE, or set up a base you can run from anywhere. We handle the UAE side end to end, and point you to properly qualified advice for the Australian side.
Why Australian leavers choose Dubai
- 0% personal income tax, a real contrast to Australian marginal rates.
- 100% ownership of your UAE company, with a licence typically in weeks.
- Residency for you and your family, through your company, a job, or investment routes.
- A genuine time-zone bridge between Australia, Asia and Europe for founders running a global business.
- Lifestyle, safety, schools, healthcare and year-round sun.
What's different when you're leaving Australia
The UAE side of an Australian move is the same as anyone else's. The Australian side isn't. Australian tax residency turns on the "resides" test and a set of statutory tests around it, not a simple day count. Ceasing residency can trigger a capital gains tax event on assets you hold, on the basis of a deemed disposal at the point you leave, with an election available that defers rather than removes the tax. And unlike many corridors, there is no Australia-UAE tax treaty, so there are no treaty tie-breakers to fall back on if your residency position is untidy.
None of it is a reason not to move. All of it is a reason to plan the Australian exit and the UAE setup together, in the right order, before you go, and to get that Australian side reviewed by an Australian-qualified tax adviser rather than relying on general guidance.

What we handle
